Growing up too fast!!!

So much has happened over the past week I can't even keep up!! Wednesday morning Chase called me at work to tell me Carson had pulled up on his leg. That night he was sitting in his crib and he pulled to his knees for me! He has also begun the transition from sitting to crawling position!

Sleepless in Temple

So this time change sure does have carson's schedule all messed up... He simply didn't want to go to bed last night! He didn't want to cuddle or lay down. Any time heard one of our voices he just wanted to look around and find us! It was finally 10 or 1030 when he finally crashed. The positive side of this is that he slept until I woke him up this morning. I hate waking him up! Then I force him to eat and he doesn't eat as much as normal then the whole day is off! The down side was that I was extra nervous last night so I woke up 2-3 times to check on him!

Catching up

So... I just found out how I can update from my phone. So I will get better! Carson is 6 months old now! He is growing like crazy and learns new tricks all the time. He is quite the sitter and reaches down to grab things and comes back to sitting with no hands. He loves the bath and thinks kicking his feet to splash is great! I think the pool will be fun this year! He loves laughing too! It's so contagious when little ones laugh! Even on my worst day coming to see him at lunch makes everything better and my attitude turns around!

Blue Baby

I plan to be much better at updating my blog now that I figured out how to do it from my phone! I think he liked his blueberries and yogurt! I'm so glad I asked Hopie to take his shirt off!!! Blueberries are very blue!

Rolling Baby!!!

So the adventure into making babyfood continues. We made applesauce Sunday and had our first lunchtime feeding today. Carson did great! He has also started rolling over more When I was in the kitchen he was in one place and when I walked back around the corner he was on his belly. This happened twice on Sunday and then Sunday night I heard him at about 330 or so and he was on his belly again! Before I know it he'll be on the move!

Saturday night we had our friend Ashley over for dinner and Wii action. Carson clearly LOVES Ashley as he was smiling and flirting with her above... new favorite picture of 2011!

4 Months old!

Last week Carson turned 4 month's old! I can't believe how quickly it has gone and how many major changes we have had in the first week of his 4th month and the first week of the year! We had his 4 month check up. 13 lbs 4 ounces and 23 1/4 inches long. He has grown 5 inches exactly since birth! He has moved from the 5th to 25th percentile on weight! Lets not talk about his height chart though! Lets just put it this way... I don't think he is going to play in the NBA but who knows a lot can change in the next couple of years!!
We also started solid foods this week. We started last week with cereal and today we tried avocado. Of course the biggest part of eating at this point is working on learning to move food to the back of the mouth. He did great with it and today we ate avocado! At first he wasn't too sure about it because it is thicker than the cereal but he ended up LOVING it. We are still on very small portions but by the 4th or 5th bite he was looking for the spoon! He would have eaten more if I would have let him!

My friends little girls were Thing 1 and Thing 2 for Halloween this year! Hopie came across the wig that Emily wore and put it on Carson. Definitely my favorite picture of 2011 so far!

We have more changes each week with new veggies and fruits we will be trying! I decided I am going to make Carson's baby food and last night I made my first batch! Peas! My guinea pig fell asleep before we could try them and I had a fresh avocado tonight so I decided to go with that and in a few days we will try the peas!
Looking forward to 2011!

2010 is coming to an end!

I can't believe all of the firsts we have had lately or how much our little guy has grown! Carson's first Thanksgiving was great but I'm excited for next year when he gets to have real food!

This is one of my favorite outfits! He looks too cute!

My child is beyond animated! He laughs all the time and thinks everything is funny. He has also learned to make faces at his momma (see below). My thought after seeing this is not only do I have one person looking at me like I'm crazy but now BOTH my boys do it! Great! Well... they are my two favorite people in the world so I guess it's okay!

Yes, my child LOVES Santa! We had a special visitor come to our house. I had a hard time finding a good picture because Carson was laughing and smiling so big! I wanted to cry because it was so much fun! The best part of the story came next... our neighbor Brian started to come over to our house that night for something but saw we had a car in front so decided not to come by... a few minutes later he was grilling and happened to look up to see Santa walking out of our house and get in his Hummer. First he couldn't believe that Santa was visiting but then he was in shock to find out that Santa drives a Hummer the rest of the year. When he knocked on my door he was laughing and so was I. Of course Carson also thought it was funny that we were laughing but I can't imagine standing in my driveway and seeing Santa at someones house unexpectedly!

Once I get my pictures from Christmas uploaded I will share them as well.
Carson did ABSOLUTELY AMAZING on the drive to Tulsa. He only requested that we stop once when we hit South Dallas... we gave him a pacifier and he made it to North Dallas (a much better option for the stop!) I can't believe we only had to stop once for him the whole way! Of course when we got there he was WIDE awake and ready to play but Mommy and Daddy were ready to sleep! The drive was long and weather was not great!
Christmas morning we woke up then headed to Chase's Aunts house to celebrate with his Dad's side of the family. Everyone was there except for Nicholas but we were so happy to have Grandma Hutto well enough to join us! She loved baby Carson and watching B play with all of her toys and her Cousin Kyla. Next we headed to my dad's house to visit my dad and Patti. My grandpa was there too and he loved seeing how much Carson had grown since the last time he saw him! We left my dad's and headed back to Tulsa and was able to visit with my Cousin's Brittany Dana Casey and nephew Jake! It was SOOO good to see Jake and see how much he had grown! I was also delighted to see Brittany since it may have been my wedding the last time I saw her! SO GREAT! I only wish Nick would have been in town too but we are all just glad to have him state side again!
The next day we did Christmas with our moms! We woke up and had a big breakfast at my mom's house and did Christmas. David 'got a new knee' the week of Christmas and he enjoyed playing with Carson but I'm sure he would have liked to get down on the ground and play with him. Next Christmas Carson will be a lot more fun anyway! Then we headed to Chad and Natalie's house to see Linda and Tom. It was great to see them and for them to be able to see B and Carson too!
Carson clearly has a lot of people who love him! He got lots of clothes and toys that we are trying out each day! He also got some help from a few people with his college/life fund. We are so excited to have help getting him set up going in the right direction of life! We are all truly blessed to have so many great people in our lives!
Oh I almost forgot! We did get to run into Lauren, Kristin and Kyle too! It's always great to see all of them but I was beyond happy with how well Kyle took to Carson. There is no doubt how much Carson means to him... he didn't even get grossed out when Carson sneezed in his face! Carson took to Kyle too... We went to eat dinner and he really just wanted Kyle to hold him (no not his momma!) so of course Kyle did. I'm just going to assume that it's because I had a wall behind me and Kyle had the whole restaurant behind him for Carson to look at!
It really was a great trip. Carson did great on the drive home too but was VERY tired on Tuesday morning. When I went to wake him up so I could go to work he rolled over mid diaper change! Usually that cold wipe wakes him up but he really just wanted to sleep! Chase and I are so glad we got to take him home for his first Christmas but we are ALWAYS glad to be home!
