Dating my kids!

When I was younger I wanted 4 or 5 kids. I was pretty positive I wanted a big family! I am close to my brother but I always thought it would be neat if there were more of us. When I had Carson, that changed! Initially, when I say that, people think it's because of how exhausting having a baby can be or how much work it is. Truthfully those things don't bother me. C was a fairly easy baby. Besides a ton of ear infections he was rarely sick. (Seriously, he dodged hand foot and mouth twice while his entire class was caught by it). In fact my biggest problem is that I don't get enough time with them. I don't get to do a library class or Kindermusik during the day, instead I have to send my kids to school for 11 hours then drive them to something.... The quality time is lost at this point because they have already reached their full capacity before we arrive. We don't get to have fun at this point and we are all frustrated!

I talked with my husband about this a lot before getting pregnant with number 2. When I was pregnant wiI was pregnant with H I was very stressed about splitting time between both my kids! We spend time with our kids, we just want to Make sure our kids have good memories with us 1 on 1 too. Eventually, we might try to leave one with a sitter and take the other to do something special and we are hoping once a month sets a good foundation for this tradition.
